2026/16	CYC	1 x Resident	13/08/2026	The complainant alleges the Cllr has used their intellectual property for his campaign, which advocates for closing public roads to vehicles.	The Deputy Monitoring Officer has spoken with the Council’s Independent Person and assessed the complaint.  This complaint is broadly similar to the previous complaint submitted, the Independent Person maintains the view that this is not a conduct issue and therefore has recommended that the case is closed and no further action is taken. 2026/11	2 x CYC	MP	16/06/2026	The complaint is regarding a letter which has been shared by 2 Councillors regarding changes proposed by the Boundary Commission.  The complainant alleges the communication is misleading.	The Independent Persons have reviewed the complaint submitted, the Councillors response, and the relevant Code of Conduct. The conclusions from those investigations is that the Independent Persons is that the councillors' responses focus on the provisional nature of the writing in their leaflet (the use of 'could', 'worst case scenario' etc). The complaint, however, has a focus on the accuracy of the information on the review processes involved.	However the Independent Persons recommend that Council Officers could provide more clarity on the process.
2026/17	CYC	Resident	14/08/2026	The complainant alleged the Cllr has breached the code of conduct and failed to uphold the core principles of Honesty, Openness, and Accountability when responding to a constituent query regarding the use of public funds.	This complaint was assessed by the Deputy Monitoring Officer. It was determined that the comments were taken out of context and there was no case to answer.
